Studio Update
Well, we arrived in Newark, NJ late last night — and by late last night, I mean 6am. We managed to find a hole-in-the-wall motel for the week — and by motel, I mean straight out of a horror film, dirty, smelly, hub of filth. After checking in, we sprayed the room with febreeze, and wrapped ourselves tightly in sleeping bags (no way we were going to use the sheets at the motel).
After 2 hours of sleep, we managed to crawl out of bed and get to the studio on time — and if you know my band, you would know this is a near impossible feat. Although we were exhausted, we came in ready to rock this out. 8 hours later, we sit here, with tones ready to go and have already started knocking out drums for a few tracks.
I couldn’t be more excited to be learning from a producer like Rob, and I can’t wait to hear how this album turns out! More coming soon!
About Me
As you may know by now, my name is indeed Dustin[Taylor]Phillips and I'm a musician/producer from the Minneapolis, MN area.I adore music and everything revolved around it. Since I was a young-folk, I've been recording bands and my own music with anything I could get my hands on. Now with years of putting all the right pieces together, I have a killer studio with a great variety equipment to help achieve any sound/style you're going for.
I spend a good chunk of my time rockin' out in my band, All The Right Moves (www.atrm.tumblr.com).. lovin' every minute of it!
I also am a big fan of goldfish crackers and sour patch kids. I watch Friends way too often, and like cheesecake way more than most guys do.
